Link to updated HCSS API Specs

Hi Developer Community

We are currently working on the updated HCSS API and have an initial draft of the specs for these APIs. Please follow the link below to get a copy of this documentation.

https://developer.acc.co.nz/hcss-specs-april-2019

As we progress through our development, we will update this document, so please check back here in the forum regularly.

HI team

The regions in the latest draft spec have changed from the original regions required previously. This may impact our ability to accurately report on 3.12.1 where it asks for the region where the SIP service was referred from and for the 6 monthly data report. Is it possible to revert the regions back to:

"Northland
Wider Auckland
Waikato & Bay of Plenty
Gisborne & Hawkes Bay
Taranaki, Whanganui & Manawatu
Nelson, Marlborough & West Coast
Canterbury
Otago and Southland" as it was?

Also, shouldn't the wording in 5.11 be "Total direct physiotherapy consultations" instead of hours to be consistent with the contract?

Thanks
D

Hi Tangyfruits and All HCSS developers,

Thank you for your patience waiting for this response.

Regions - We have reviewed the details behind the regions and can see that there is an issue with the regions listed in the specs document. This should actually be 9 regions as per the list below.

  • Northland
  • Wider Auckland
  • Waikato & Bay of Plenty
  • Gisborne & Hawkes Bay
  • Taranaki, Whanganui & Manawatu
  • Wider Wellington
  • Nelson, Marlborough & West Coast
  • Canterbury
  • Otago and Southland

Please proceed with using these regions. We will update this for the next specs document release, which is due to be in the next few days.

Consultations/Hours - We have confirmation that it is the number of hours that we are after and not the number of consultations.

If there are any other questions, please post them on the forum or email digitaloperations@acc.co.nz

Kind Regards

Kaaran@ACC

There seems to be a disconnect between the information on https://developer.acc.co.nz/home-and-community-support-services-2019/apis and https://developer.acc.co.nz/hcss-specs-april-2019 .. which one is more "up to date"?

Thanks
Donald

Hi Donald,

I have just updated the spec doc on the website to match the swagger docs with the latest version of the API as we have it.

Let us know if there are any questions or any discrepancies in the material.

Hi,

When will V7 of the specification document be published. We (Healthvision) received yesterday some answers to our earlier questions that made reference to a V7 but only see V6 (File name HCSS API Specs v06 - May 2019) uploaded here - https://developer.acc.co.nz/hcss-specs-april-2019.

Best regards,

KP

The latest v9 spec has:
6.6
"Format enum ("Northland", "Wider Auckland", "Waikato and Bay of Plenty", "Gisborne and
enum ("Northland", "Waitemata", "Auckland", "Counties Manukau", "Waikato",
"Bay of Plenty", "Taranaki", "Lakes", "Tairawhiti", "Whanganui", "MidCentral",
"Hawke’s Bay", "Capital & Coast", "Hutt Valley", "Wairarapa", "Nelson
Marlborough", "West Coast", "Canterbury", "South Canterbury", "Southern")."

Is this a copy and paste typo??

I don't quite understand 7.2 {
7.2 Region
Each region is optional as suppliers may not service every region. However, the API requires at least
one region to be provided.
E.g. a supplier who only operates in the Greater Wellington Region might provide the properties:
Capital and Coast
Hutt Valley
Wairarapa
All other regions (which they do not operate in) can be omitted.
API JSON supplier/<region>
Required? At least one region is required
Data type string
Properties • Northland
• Waitemata
• Auckland
• Counties Manukau
• Waikato
• Bay of Plenty
• Taranaki
• Lakes
• Tairawhiti
• Whanganui
• MidCentral
• Hawke’s Bay
• Capital & Coast
• Hutt Valley
• Wairarapa
• Nelson Marlborough
• West Coast
• Canterbury
• South Canterbury
• Southern
Note 12 June 2019 – Changed regions to align with DHBs. Changed each region to
optional.
Error condition Message
No regions have been provided At least one region is required.}

What happened to post #3 on this thread? 7.2 suggests that I can pick more than 1 region to represent those clusters e.g. Wider Auckland?

Hi Tangyfruits,

Yes there is a typo in 6.6. This enum group should be all the individual DHB groups and not the previous area groups. We will update the specs and publish this soon.

From your comments about post #3 - There has been a change in the specs since that post with the listed ACC regions changing to the DHB regions instead. For 7.2 the DHB regions that the supplier covers should be used for these reports.

I hope that answers your question, but if there are any other questions/issues, please let us know.
