Casemix Data Collection (interRAI /TAS)
Built into the InterRAI Contact Assessment is an ACC algorithm which will place the client into a casemix group based on their functional needs.
The functional groups provide a level of relative complexity between clients. There are 4 functional groups that may be generated.
The Casemix group will inform the billing package that may be claimed but will not dictate what supports the client needs, how often, or for how long. The Registered Health Professional will use their clinical judgement and agree this with the client through the development of the Individual Support Plan.
Over time, best practice support packages will be developed for each Casemix Support group as we monitor and learn which inputs achieve the best outcomes for clients.
